Additional Business Services

We specialize in core Virginia business services, namely registered agent service, incorporation, LLC formation, and out-of-state business formation. However, we also offer ongoing business services to keep your company in compliance with the state and support your business as it grows.

Business Address

Having a professional business address is important. It’s the public face of your company, which shows customers, clients and potential investors that your business is grounded and secure. A P.O. Box will get you your mail—but it can look shady on business documents, and won’t be accepted on state forms.

If you work from home or don’t want to make your business address public, you need a solution that gives you a verifiable address without compromising your integrity. When you hire us for registered agent service, we use our address for your public filings instead of yours—at no extra charge.

Mail Forwarding

You automatically get free mail forwarding when you hire us as your registered agent. Our free mail service is limited to 3 pieces of regular mail per year. We also offer Virginia Mail Forwarding options with a unique suite number and more mail scans, along with a Virginia Virtual Office option that includes unlimited mail scans.

The greatest benefit of our mail forwarding service is that it’s completely virtual. We scan and upload your documents to your online account as soon as we get them. This means you not only get access to your mail with the click of a button, but you can get your mail wherever you go.

Phone Service

A business phone doesn’t have to be as expensive or cumbersome as it seems. With Virginia Phone Service, you get a unique phone number with a Virginia area code, as well a phone app, so you can use your phone number on any device. Our phone app is compatible with both iOS and Android.

Employer Identification Number (EIN)

When you start a new business, you’ll need a government ID known as an Employer Identification Number (EIN). This sequence of numbers is like a social security number for your business. You can apply for an EIN for your business through the IRS directly, or for $50 you can add it on to your order and we’ll submit the IRS paperwork and get your EIN for you.

If you don’t have a social security number, you can still get an EIN, but the process is a little more complicated. For one thing, your application must be filled out on paper and submitted by mail, rather than online. Don’t want to deal with the hassle of paper documents? We can complete this filing for you for $200.

Business Documents

After you submit the necessary filings to form your company with the Virginia State Corporation Commission, you’ll need to draft internal documents for your company. These documents include:

When you form your business with us, we give you templates for all these documents—for free. In addition to templates for internal documents, we also provide easy access to a library of state forms, everything from articles of amendment to apostilles.

Doing Business As Name (DBA)

If you ever conduct business under a name that’s different from the name of the business you registered with the state, you’ll probably need to register a DBA name for your business. (In Virginia, a DBA name is known as a fictitious, or assumed name.) For just $100 plus state fees, we can take care of this filing for you. Inside your client account, just add Trade Name Service (Certificate of Assumed Name) and we’ll file your Virginia DBA for you for $110 total.

Trademark Service

A trademark is a federal registration that protects an aspect of your business (like a word, phrase, symbol or design) from copyright infringement. If you want a trademark for your business, we’re happy to help. We work closely with attorneys and trademark experts to make sure your filing is submitted quickly and correctly. Our Trademark Service is $249, plus the USPTO fee of $250 per class.
